FAQ

Common Questions

Who is eligible for SLES?

+

SLES is available to NDIS participants aged 18–22 who have recently left school (typically within the last two years). It must be included in your NDIS plan. If you're approaching school leaving age, we strongly recommend discussing SLES with your support coordinator or LAC well before you finish school.

How long does SLES last?

+

SLES is typically funded for up to two years. During this time, the focus is on building skills and confidence to transition into Supported Employment, open employment, volunteer work, or further education.

What happens after SLES ends?

+

At the end of SLES, participants typically transition to ongoing Supported Employment funding or other NDIS supports that help them maintain and build on the skills developed during SLES. We'll help plan this transition well in advance.
